A dedicated machine with Postgres, Redis, CouchDB and NATS on it; Mini is Starter's machine held to a smaller size, so upgrading lifts the limits in place with no move. Everything below is in every plan.

Billed monthly in USD, in advance. No usage meter, no egress fee, no per-connection fee, no per-engine fee. Upgrades at any time: more storage means the next plan. Mini starts with a 3-day free trial; the other plans are paid at creation.
What every plan includes.
- The whole machine
- Its RAM and its local NVMe are yours alone, and no other Lathe customer runs on it. Postgres, Redis, CouchDB and NATS in any mix, each with a memory budget out of the plan's RAM.
- Storage and traffic
- The plan's NVMe and 20 TB of outbound traffic a month, included and unmetered. Above that we contact you first; there is never an automatic charge.
- Backups
- Daily images, 7 kept, restored in place. The latest backup is restored to a temporary server and checked every month.
- Security
- TLS on every engine, generated credentials you can rotate, an optional IP allowlist, OS security updates on the box.
- Operations
- The portal, a REST API, an MCP server for AI agents and webhooks: create, restore, reset, rotate, resize, per-engine settings and consoles.
- Support
- Email answered within 24 hours on business days; alerts watched by us.
Billing questions.
What does the price include?
The machine, its storage, 20 TB of outbound traffic a month, every engine you switch on, daily backups kept 7 days, TLS, the portal, the REST API, the MCP server and email support. There is no usage meter.
Is anything billed on top?
No. No egress fee, no per-connection or per-request fee, no per-engine fee, no backup fee. The invoice is the plan price.
How is billing done?
Monthly in USD, in advance, to the card on file. The first month is paid when the instance is created (on Mini, when the trial ends); renewals every 30 days. Delete the instance and billing stops.
Is there a trial?
Yes, on Mini: 3 days free, card verified up front, nothing charged until the trial ends. Delete the instance before then and nothing is ever charged; keep it and the first month is charged automatically. One trial per person.
How do upgrades work?
Up at any time; the difference for the rest of the period is charged pro rata and the new price applies from the next renewal. Storage and every engine's memory budget grow with the plan. Mini upgrades to Starter on the same machine: the limits lift in place, the engines restart once.
Are there discounts?
Invitations can carry a discount on the first payment. There is no free tier; Mini has a 3-day trial.
